Sweet Child of Mine (Where to Shop)

We are believers that what you wear in your photos should ultimately reflect your personal style yet we know that sometimes you need a little help finding what's right for you. We've done a number of "what to wear" posts with ideas on color and coordinating your outfits and most have been geared towards adults, but I was asked recently about choosing clothing for children. Not just in terms of color but unique styling. So we started compiling a list of places we've shopped ourselves along with places recommended by friends, fellow-photogs and our client-family. So here it is! Some children's clothing inspiration for dressing your little ones...

Thrift Stores! Goodwill Outlet is our on-a-budget fave, but bring your creativity and be willing to dig through giant mounds of junk. (And with the risk of sounding like hipsters, yes, we DID shop at Goodwill Outlet long before Macklemore shot parts of his video there, lol.) Goodwill Outlet is not for the faint of heart. If you're not an experienced thrifter, you might want to start with Value Village or a nice consignment shop. ;)
