Love Letters | Seattle Family and Wedding Photographer

Image
We would not be all that we are without you, our fabulous clientele. Many of the people we work with end up keeping in touch long after the wedding or session day and become like family! We love the people we work with; it makes our job worthwhile. Our clients sometimes exclaim that we ‘made’ them look ‘pretty’ or ‘beautiful.’ We disagree. You were already beautiful. We just helped you see it. Read all of our Wedding Photography Reviews at --> Seattle life photographer Heather Reis Fike is owner and photographer for Evidence Photography & Design . Inspired by all aspects of what it means to be human, Heather's photography crosses the spectrum of maternity and babies to children, seniors, families, weddings, musicians, artists and performers. We are inspired by what makes you YOU.   Inspired by what you see here?  Send us a  session inquiry  or check out our  Session Planning Guides .

"I'd trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday..."

I like to joke that if you flip through the many, many photo albums of our childhood, you’d have a movie of our lives. Our mother captured every lovely memory of us, yet there are only a handful of photos of her among what must be thousands of Rachael and I.  We first got the idea to do our next round of mini sessions as a day of “Mommy and Me” – a time for moms like ours to get out from behind the camera and take photos with their wee ones. While I still love that idea, it kind of turned into something bigger. It’s not just moms who hide from cameras, sometimes it’s dads, partners, spouses, teenagers, grandparents, furbabies... okay, okay, I admit it- me.  So we decided to have a day of what we’re calling "The Nostalgia Sessions".  Shorter than our traditional portrait sessions, each nostalgia session will last 30 minutes in our top-secret, vintage-themed location. You will receive 15 digital images and an 8x10 lustre fine art print with the option

What to Wear | Tea Rose Color Inspiration | Seattle Portrait Photography

Image
Blushing shades of dusty pink and mauve are uppity and oh-so-cute against the moody grey skies of the cooler season. Leather footwear and chocolate accents ground the brighter pinks while adding natural textures to the overall look. A lovely set of outfits perfect either in our out from under the umbrella! Sweet Child of Mine (Where to Shop)

Image
We are believers that what you wear in your photos should ultimately reflect your personal style yet we know that sometimes you need a little help finding what's right for you. We've done a number of "what to wear" posts with ideas on color and coordinating your outfits and most have been geared towards adults, but I was asked recently about choosing clothing for children. Not just in terms of color but unique styling. So we started compiling a list of places we've shopped ourselves along with places recommended by friends, fellow-photogs and our client-family. So here it is! Some children's clothing inspiration for dressing your little ones...
