One Thousand and One Nights | Evidence Photography & Design | Seattle Child Photographer

“Is it possible, that by telling these tales, one might indeed save one’s self?” A beautifully bound edition of Arabian Nights  (also know as One Thousand and One Nights ) sits on the shelf in our living room. Admiring the cover, our niece asked what the story was about. I explained that a woman was about to be sentenced to death by the Sultan, and told exciting stories to him every night and was able to live a very long time escaping her punishment. Upon being asked if she had any stories she wanted to tell with pictures, she said “Yes” and picked up a pile of leftover peacock feathers from my wedding, a walking stick she took home from Snoqualmie Falls, and a stash of fabrics and ribbon. “What is your story about?” “A peacock and a crow.” “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen. The man who never reads lives only one.”  ― George R.R. Martin, A Dance with Dragons Seattl

What to Wear | Yellow Color & Style Inspiration | Seattle Portrait Photography

Trending Hue: Freesia Ah, yellow! The color of happiness, of light and sunshine. Yellow is a wonderful color to wear in outdoor, buttery natural-light shoots, and looks amazing on camera! Although yellow can be difficult for some to wear because of its tendency to wash out skin tones, patterns with yellow or a single yellow garment in an otherwise neutral palette adds wonders to your images. Adding yellow florals, jewelry, or accents also helps to make your photos go “POP!”. We love yellow!
