Happy Summer Solstice! 

I hope you have great plans for the longest day of 2014. Like many proud Seattle-ites, we’ll be letting our hair down at the Center of the Universe!  I can’t think of a better way to kick off the season of bonfires, festivals, beaches, and camping. 

To celebrate the long days of the season, we are offering a limited number of “Summer Nights” mini sessions at $99 each during the month of August. Each mini session will take place during “golden hour” that last hour of the evening before sunset when Mother Nature graces us with the most stunningly beautiful light for photography.

Summer Nights Mini Sessions

30 minute golden hour session (scheduled during the hour before sunset)

Limited to the month of August 2014

On location in a Seattle park or beach

10 digital images

A private online gallery to share and order prints

Mini sessions can be an affordable alternative to our full session experience but cannot accommodate multiple locations or clothing changes. Mini sessions are a great way to update family photos between sessions or capture brief moments that reflect a particular time in life’s journey. 

The Ultimate Photography Session Experience

All of our session packages (excluding mini sessions) are a custom experience tailored to each person or family. Whether we are celebrating the birth of a newborn, creating a whimsical imagination session, or commemorating a student’s senior year in high school, we strive to create artistic images that reflect your personality and lifestyle.  View an overview of our full portrait packages on our website.   

We often refer to children, families and pets as “imagineers” – a term that we thought we made up, but it seems that Disney beat us to it by 70 years.  Oh well, we still love the term and if we have to share it with the creative geniuses behind Fantasia – so be it.  Forgive me for getting side-tracked. My point (I really did have a point) is that, in our opinion, the best sessions are the ones inspired by imaginative and creative play. We will never ask you to say cheese. We may take some posed images for the camera, but in addition to those, we strive to capture the laughter, the seriousness, the pouty faces and the joy that stems from a world of imagination. Maybe it comes from having an over-active imagination. Whatever the reason, we want to help you illustrate a chapter in your love story.

The Summer Camp-Out 

Let’s hang an old fashioned sheet tent. Bring a guitar. Make a bonfire (s’mores anyone?). Maybe throw in some retro styling reminiscent of Moonrise Kingdom? This is a session idea I’ve been mulling over for the last couple years but just hasn’t happened yet. It’s versatile enough that it can work for children, adults or families and be tailored to fit different personalities. Does this sound like you? Let us know! We’d LOVE to plan it with you.
