But, if you feel like you're stuck or unsure how to plan your wardrobe for photos this spring, here's a little inspiration based on current trends in color and fashion that are sure to help you look and feel fabulous in front of the camera. Since red is truly a brilliant, attention-grabbing color, we recommend peppering your outfit with red accents instead of making red the main color for all garments. Trending Hue: Radiant Orchid In ancient times, the creation of purple dye was an incredibly lengthy, expensive process. Purple garments became a symbol of wealth and nobility, even royalty; and were sought after world-round. Although violet is now far easier to come by, the color is still associated with its royal roots. A violet-themed outfit exudes playful sophistication and looks great on camera! Does anyone else feel like fall snuck up on them?  Out of nowhere? Like a shadowy burglar in an old cartoon?  One minute I am celebrating my anniversary with the hubby, drafting my Fantasy Football Team (go team Unger Games!), birthday bar-hopping with the Besties (wow, I can’t believe I said “Besties” – is using teenspeak a sign of getting old?) and suddenly I look around, it’s the day after Labor Day and I’m ordering a triple tall nonfat pumpkin spice latte. Trending Hue: Celosia Orange Orange is a tangy, optimistic color that demands attention! Strong, joyful, and happy, adding orange to your photography session is always a hit on camera. Those with a more extroverted nature might enjoy orange-themed outfits. Orange can look wonderful both in a field of grass as well as in urban settings, such as against concrete, brick, and stone. I think orange makes a nice transitional hue from summer into fall. When you are choosing clothing for your photo session, keep in mind how you are looking to use your photos. If you plan to hang large art pieces made from the photos in your home, you will want to consider how your photo location and colors will look in the room. Trending Hue: Hemlock Nothing says fresh and new quite like the color green! Green comes in a wide array of shades, ranging from a yellowish, pea-like hue all the way to turquoise! Green looks beautiful combined with earth tones, and therefore makes a wonderful choice for outdoor shoots and backdrops of wood and stone. Trending Hue: Placid Blue Indigo - or deep blue - is a rich, exceedingly popular color which looks beautiful in  almost any setting. Outfits with blue elements create a sense of calm and quiet -  perfect for natural backdrops. Trending Hue: Freesia Ah, yellow! The color of happiness, of light and sunshine. Yellow is a wonderful color to wear in outdoor, buttery natural-light shoots, and looks amazing on camera! Although yellow can be difficult for some to wear because of its tendency to wash out skin tones, patterns with yellow or a single yellow garment in an otherwise neutral palette adds wonders to your images. Adding yellow florals, jewelry, or accents also helps to make your photos go “POP!”. We love yellow!

 Springtime, the only pretty ring time, birds sing-a-ding-a-ding-a-ding-ding... sweet lovers love the spring!
