As an artist, I sometimes find it difficult to grasp concepts of war and politics and tend to fall in the "Make Art Not War" or the "Can't we all just get along?" camp. Naive? Maybe. But if there's one thing I hope we can agree on as humans, it's the value of our fellow humans' lives and sacrifices. This is what brought us to join the  Welcome Them Home  network - because I believe that every life that makes it home safely should be celebrated. I was honored to be contacted by this young couple wanting to document their first moments together after nine months apart and even got to work with the fabulous Marie Taylor over at Taylor Made Memories who was photographing another couple and friends within the same unit. Our latest photobooth and Gramma Jean's Fabulous 80th Birthday Party. Yes, our gamblin',cat-lovin', facebookin', football fanatic Gramma truly is fabulous. Here are some highlights from our photobooth shots of Gramma with kids, friends, grandkids, great grandkids, Elvis, and even one great-great grandchild on the way.... at last weekend's 80th birthday bash... 80 and fabulous.  Happy Birthday, Gramma! Each year, our beautiful Auntie Ter performs music from her life and from her heart for March is Cabaret Month. This year, her one woman show was titled  The Soundtrack of My Life: The Songs of Kander & Ebb . A show about a life lived and the pursuit of dreams. "45 years ago when I started at the UW I had a dream of becoming a Broadway star. I told the judges at the Miss Burien Pageant, wherein I was a runner-up, that I was going to be a big Broadway star someday! As they say, "man plans and God laughs!" My life went down a different road. I'm not saying a bad road... just very different from my early dream. So--now as I am turning 63(!) I'm finally getting to live my dream.
