One Thousand and One Nights | Evidence Photography & Design | Seattle Child Photographer

“Is it possible, that by telling these tales, one might indeed save one’s self?” A beautifully bound edition of Arabian Nights  (also know as One Thousand and One Nights ) sits on the shelf in our living room. Admiring the cover, our niece asked what the story was about. I explained that a woman was about to be sentenced to death by the Sultan, and told exciting stories to him every night and was able to live a very long time escaping her punishment. Upon being asked if she had any stories she wanted to tell with pictures, she said “Yes” and picked up a pile of leftover peacock feathers from my wedding, a walking stick she took home from Snoqualmie Falls, and a stash of fabrics and ribbon. “What is your story about?” “A peacock and a crow.” “A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies, said Jojen.
